انجمن دندانپزشکان عمومی ایران در اسفند ماه ۱۳۷۹ تاسیس شده است. دندانپزشکان عمومی در کشور ما ایران حدود ۲۵۰۰۰نفر از ۳۰۰۰۰ نفر دندانپزشک عمومی و متخصص هستند . این انجمن براساس دو گرایش دارای هویت علمی و صنفی می باشد . گرایش علمی انجمن، وظایف برگزاری کنگره ها، همایش ها، دوره های جامع کوتاه و دراز مدت، بازآموزی ها، کارگاه های عملی و .. را در بر می گیرد. گرایش صنفی، دفاع از حقوق دندانپزشکان در کلیه مراکز دولتی و غیر دولتی می باشد.
کادر تشکیلاتی انجمن دندانپزشکان عمومی ایران از یک هیأت مدیره ۹ نفره و دو بازرس تشکیل می شود که رئیس انجمن دکتر باقر شهنی زاده هستند. اعضای هیئت مدیره: دکتر ناصر آخوندان، دکتر جمشید زمان، دکتر لیلا صدقی ، دکتر لیلا عطایی ، دکتر صنمبر یزدانی ،دکتر محمدحسین ارگانی، دکتر محمد علی محمدعلیزاده،دکتر علی واله شیدا و بازرسین دکتر حامد پدرام و دکتر علی وارسته می باشد.
انجمن دارای یک “شورای مشاوران اجرایی” است که متشکل از هیئت‌مدیره مرکز، روسای هیات مدیره شعب شهرستان ها یا نمایندگان آنها، کادر مسئول و اجرایی انجمن می باشد که وظایف اجرایی و مشاوره ای برگزاری کلیه فعالیت‌های کشوری در مرکز و شهرستان‌ها را بعهده دارد. در عین حال در هر کنگره یا همایش یک “شورای مشاوران علمی” از گروه‌های تخصصی نیز تشکیل می گردد که با مشاوره و بحث و تبادل نظر مباحث علمی کنگره‌ها و همایش‌ها تدوین کنند. هیئت مدیره و بازرسان انجمن دوره پنجم خود را سپری می‌کند که هر سه سال یکبار توسط مجمع عمومی عادی انتخاب می‌گردند. ساختار تشکیلاتی انجمن از کمیته‌های علمی، خیریه، شهرستان‌ها، اجرایی، ثبت نام، تدارکات، تبلیغات، تحریریه و …. که در حوزه فعالیت علمی و حرفه ای این انجمن می باشند،تشکیل شده است . در هر شهرستان با جمعیت بالای پنجاه نفر دندانپزشک، انجمن شعبه تشکیل می‌دهدکه تعداد هیئت مدیره آنها از سه تا هفت نفر متفاوت خواهند بود.
در این انجمن کادر اجرائی و مسئول در فعالیت های حرفه ای و اجرائی آن فعال هستند. تا کنون هشت کنگره علمی دندانپزشکی برگزار کرده است و کنگره نهم در ۲۶-۲۳ دی ماه ۱۳۹۳ برگزار می گردد.
انجمن دندانپزشکان عمومی ایران در بین انجمن های علمی فعال ترین و کوشا ترین آنها بوده است و به علت طیف گسترده اعضای خود، خود را موظف می داند که بزودی پروژه های تأمین سلامت دهان و دندان در سطح ملی را نیز در دستور کار این انجمن قرار دهد.
انجمن دندانپزشکان عمومی ایران از بدو تاسیس دارای یک خبرنامه بوده است که یکصدمین آن را منتشر کرده است و همچنین دارای یک مجله علمی حرفه ای به نام ” پیام دندانپزشکان ” نیز می باشد که به صورت فصل نامه منتشر می شود.
هر ماه نیز یک خبرنامه علمی صنفی تحت عنوان “خبرنامه رسمی انجمن دندانپزشکان عمومی ایران” چاپ و برای کلیه دندانپزشکان ارسال می گردد.
در عین حال بعلت ارزش و اهمیت دنیای مجازی در اطلاع رسانی، خبرنامه هفتگی الکترونیک نیز هر هفته از طریق ایمیل ارسال می گردد.
About us
Iranian General Dentists Association (IGDA ) was established in March 2000. There are around 30000 Dentists in our country which 20000 of them are general practitioners and the rest are specialist in 10 different dental fields. IGDA is a Non Governmental Organization ( NGO ).
This Association has two trends based on scientific and professional identities .The scientific orientation of association is holding several congresses , symposiums , short term and long term comprehensive courses , continuous educations , practical work shops ,…
Trade orientation is defend of rights of dentists in all governmental and non-governmental institutions .

We currently have an “executive advisory council” which consists of central board , city department heads or their representatives to the board , staff and the executives board is responsible for carrying out all the duties of the holding congresses and symposiums
The IGDA comprised 19 province branches representing more than 12000 general dentist member i.e over 50% of all licensed practicing dentists in IRAN.IGDA is the voice of dentistry focused in dental education advancement .It has always been a patient – centered , science based and ethically-driven association .It is the leading source and advocate for dentists and patients dedicatory a unique set of oral health information and resources by distributing the elevating professional skills , standards and significant know – how of new educational and scientific issues in dentistry.
The president and the board of directors have been selected in an election by over 10000 general dentists voters and the election have been awarded by the iran’s ministry of health and medical education . The president , Dr.Bagher Shehnizadeh directs and supervises the management of the business and affairs of the Association focused on continuing education opportunities.IGDA has the most active and responsible executive team of the dental associations in IRAN .
Till now IGDA has been held eight successful dental scientific congress and the ninth congress will be held on January 13, 2015 due to the wide variety of its members , who soon finds himself obligated to provide oral health projects at the national level is also put on the agenda of the forum.IGDA has been published a newsletter since its inception. the 100th of it has published recently. IGDA has also a professional journal called “Dentists Massage” which is published as a chapter
